Etsy fee calculator
Estimate what Etsy takes on a US sale, and what you keep after fees and costs. Nothing is uploaded.
Breakdown
How the numbers work
For a typical US Etsy Payments sale, three fees always stack:
- $0.20 listing fee when you publish or renew a listing, and again when it sells.
- 6.5% transaction fee on item price + shipping + gift wrap, not just the item.
- 3% + $0.25 payment processing on the order total.
If that order is attributed to Etsy Offsite Ads, add 15% (shops under $10k trailing-year sales) or 12% (at or above $10k), capped at $100 per order.
Example: a $25 item, no shipping, no ads. Listing $0.20 + transaction $1.63 + processing $1.00 = $2.83 in fees. You keep $22.17 before product cost.
FAQ
Does the transaction fee include shipping?
Yes. If you charge $25 for the item and $5 for shipping, the 6.5% applies to $30.
Is this exact to the penny Etsy will take?
No. It is an estimate using published US rates as of mid-2026. Sales tax handling, currency conversion, VAT on fees, and country-specific processing can change the payout. Check Etsy’s current Fees & Payments Policy.
Should I turn Offsite Ads off?
Shops under $10k in the last 12 months can usually opt out. The 12–15% fee is often larger than listing + transaction + processing combined. Use the dropdown to see the hit on a given price.
